The Problem With Following An Outdated Rulebook

Despite being a very creative child, and being drawn to pursuing design as a career path, every adult I encountered said it wasn't secure enough.

I took their advice seriously. I studied. I got good grades. I did what was expected of me.

After college, I landed what was considered a great job in the media—exactly the kind of role we’re taught to aspire to.

It lasted eighteen months! Then, I was laid off, along with hundreds of others.

This showed me the hard way, that job security and the old ideas of work security and career goals are severely out of date.

As a result of the last recession, I lost that job—not because I failed, but because the system itself was unstable.

Shaking Up Limiting Ideas Of Life And Career

That experience quietly dismantled an assumption I’d inherited from earlier generations: that job security was something you could earn through obedience, effort, and good behavior.

I realized fairly early on that the world I was living in was not the world my parents’ generation had prepared me for.

And over the years, as I built businesses and guided others through periods of transition, that realization only deepened.

A New Era Of Work, Career And Value

Today, we are unmistakably entering what I call a new soul era of work. Not because it sounds poetic, but because the shift is both practical and profound.

AI is transforming industries. Roles are being automated. Career paths that once looked stable now feel fragile. 

And many people are sensing—sometimes with anxiety, sometimes with relief—that the old rules no longer apply.

It can feel scary, but really it's about a role change - as AI becomes able to handle more of the "doing" roles we have been performing...

We are called on to create value from what it cannot: The uniqueness, the creativity and the aliveness of who we are as souls, and how we can resonate with others in a palpable way to bring value that goes beyond rigid ideas.

The Frustration You Feel Is "Normal"

Many people I speak with feel frustrated, drained, or quietly disillusioned with work lately - even before AI. They’ve done what they were told. They’ve been responsible.

And yet their efforts no longer translate into security, fulfillment, or meaning.

I don’t see this as laziness or entitlement. I see it as a natural response to a system that was built for a different era—one focused on survival, conformity, and predictability.

As consciousness evolves and especially for those of us awakening spiritually, our tolerance for meaningless effort shrinks.

What once felt “normal” starts to feel heavy. And many people internalize that discomfort, assuming something is wrong with them, when in fact they’re responding honestly to misalignment.

AI Is Accelerating a Deeper Shift

AI didn’t create this transition, but it is accelerating it.

By taking over repetitive, rule-based tasks, it’s making something very clear: The future of work belongs less to what can be standardized and more to what is  *human*, or rather SOUL led.

Lived insight and inspiration. Creativity. Emotional intelligence. Discernment. 

These are the qualities I see again and again in people who feel out of place in traditional roles— and they are increasingly what others are willing to exchange reward for.

This is often where the language of soul gifts enters the conversation.

Not as something mystical or reserved for a few, but as a practical acknowledgment of what you naturally bring: what you understand because you’ve lived it, what people already come to you for, and what genuinely helps.

You Don’t Need to Be 100% Clear On Your Purpose Yet - You Can Still Start!

One of the most common misconceptions I encounter is the belief that you’re supposed to already know your purpose. That if you were meant for something more, clarity would have arrived by now.

In my experience, purpose doesn’t appear fully formed. It emerges through attention, experimentation, and the willingness to let old ideas of self release.

It's also about taking action and evolving what serves you and your uniqueness.

Some of the most aligned, impactful work I’ve seen comes from people who never set out to become entrepreneurs:

Women with C-suite expertise and 20 years' experience transitioning into mission-driven impact, mothers stepping into a new chapter guiding others in raising children consciously, sensitive people learning how to turn awareness into guidance to help others avoid the same struggles...

A Different Possibility Is Opening

If you feel a quiet pull toward a different way of working—one with more freedom, more meaning, and a sense that your contribution actually matters—that pull deserves respect.

The new soul era of work isn’t about rejecting responsibility.

It’s about creating forms of work that support life rather than consume it— where contribution is met with reward, and where your livelihood reflects who you are now.

You don’t need to rush or burn everything down. But you may need a new orientation. A new framework.

My role in this is to show you that it can be done, because I've been there.

And I know that what's on the other side of the old grid, is so much more fulfilling and abundant than you might have been led to think.
